Aurora In Peril - Music Mania!
Imagine, if you will, that Paramore, Evanescence and Avril Lavigne got together for some big musical orgy…sounds pretty hot, right? Well, the result of such a high-energy, angst-filled orgy would surely produce something akin to North Bay’s own Aurora In Peril.
More powerful than Lavigne but more reserved than Paramore and just as angst-ridden as all the aforementioned, Aurora In Peril pushes slice-of-life music with some grungy guitar, bouncing bass, driving drums and a well-supported vocal whine that only a certain kind of perturbation can produce.
Ultimately, you should check them out right HERE!
After you’ve listened to a few tracks, you should then consider giving them your vote to take the lead for DI Records’ Music Mania! This is essentially an online battle of the bands where fans get to vote for the best group and the band wins a bunch of stuff. In this case, it’s a whack-load of promotion, which is the bread and butter, or pizza and pepsi or wine and whisky of any band.
Of the six finalists in this competition, Aurora In Peril is sitting in second place right now and given that they are the only Canadian band in the whole mix, I think they are worth giving an extra little push to put them over the top to further show off some great music from not only north of the border but north of the Toronto music hub as well. The polls are open until 2pm(EST) tomorrow.
